What Seaside Equity Partners buys
Seaside Equity Partners is a San Diego firm, founded in 2017, that buys majority stakes in providers of what it calls mission critical services, mostly companies based in the Western United States. Its interests fall into two groups. Skilled services covers facility work, HVAC and refrigeration, roofing and exteriors, restoration, environmental, waste and wastewater, and repair and maintenance. Professional services covers managed IT, government software implementation, accounting and tax, payroll and workforce services, and training. The firm reports more than 65 acquisitions and over $1.2 billion of equity commitments raised.
Platforms come from two funds. The flagship fund, whose third vintage closed in July 2025, targets companies with $3 million to $15 million of EBITDA. The Navigator fund targets smaller founder and family-owned businesses with $1 million to $3 million of EBITDA that have seldom had private equity owners. Add-ons have no size floor at the fund level and need not be in the West. Most current platforms publish add-on criteria starting at about $500,000 of EBITDA, each with its own target region.

Greymont’s take
How Seaside Equity Partners fits a seller
Seaside is one of the more reachable buyers for small service businesses. Owners of managed IT providers, waste haulers, industrial cleaning and wastewater firms, commercial refrigeration companies, roofing contractors, restoration firms or towing operators can approach a platform it already owns. ProCern, Liberty Disposal, Enviracore, Clima-Tech, BlueThread, Forge Restoration and FirstLine each publish add-on criteria that start around $500,000 of EBITDA. A Western owner with $1 million to $3 million of EBITDA could instead become a new Navigator platform.
The firm says it tries to keep each company's culture, systems and people in place while adding operating support and acquisitions. Owners should ask which fund would make the investment, how much equity they would roll into the platform, and how earlier add-on owners have fared after joining.
Questions owners ask
Does Seaside Equity Partners buy managed IT service providers?
Yes. ProCern, its Colorado managed IT infrastructure and cybersecurity platform, lists add-on criteria of US managed service providers with highly recurring revenue and at least $500,000 of EBITDA. GovPath separately looks for government IT services firms in the US and Canada.
Does Seaside invest in waste and environmental services?
Yes. Liberty Disposal, an Oklahoma City waste hauler it invested in during 2025, looks for collection, transfer station and landfill businesses in the Southwest, South Central and Southeast. Enviracore Services in Dallas buys emergency response, wastewater treatment and industrial cleaning companies.
What size company does Seaside look for?
Platforms with less than $15 million of EBITDA: $3 million to $15 million for its flagship fund and $1 million to $3 million for its Navigator fund. Add-ons can be any size, and most platforms list a floor of about $500,000 of EBITDA.
Does Seaside only buy companies in the West?
New platforms are meant to be headquartered in the Western United States so the team can support them in person, but the firm sets no geographic limit for add-ons, and several current platforms are based in Texas and Oklahoma.
