Greymont Advisors is a buy-side M&A advisory firm. We work for private equity firms and strategic acquirers. Our job is to find founder-owned and family-owned companies in the lower middle market that aren’t for sale yet, and prepare them for the right buyer.
The program
The Spring 2027 Analyst Program runs for 14 weeks, from January 18 to May 7, entirely remote on Microsoft Teams.
Weeks 1–7
Analyst Bootcamp
January to mid-March · about 6–8 hours a week
One 90-minute live session a week
Eleven modules from Greymont’s own sourcing workbook: how private equity works, reading a buyer’s thesis, market mapping, screening, small-business financials and adjusted EBITDA, owner outreach, discovery calls, and packaging an opportunity for a buyer
Ends with a capstone presentation in Week 7. Analysts who score 80% or higher across the Bootcamp move on to live sourcing.
Weeks 8–14
Live Sourcing
After spring break to early May · about 10–12 hours a week
Work in pairs, each pair supervised by a Greymont partner, on active buyer mandates
Map and screen companies, reach out to owners, and qualify opportunities for buyers
Weekly 30-minute pipeline stand-up

Clear writers who are comfortable with Excel
Curious about how small businesses actually work
Comfortable speaking with business owners professionally
Able to commit the full 14 weeks
Compensation
Academic credit plus a performance-based sourcing bonus. This is not an hourly paid position.
