What Palladium Equity Partners buys
Palladium Equity Partners is a New York firm that has backed U.S. middle market companies since 1997. It reports about $3.6 billion of assets under management, more than 40 platform investments and over 200 add-ons. It runs two strategies. Flagship, its main fund family, invests $50 million to $150 million of equity in companies with $10 million to $75 million of EBITDA across consumer, services, industrials and healthcare. Its themes include the U.S. Hispanic market, founder and family-owned companies, and growth through acquisitions. Fund VI made its second platform investment, DME Express, in March 2026.
Heritage, launched in 2022, is the better fit for smaller owners. It invests $10 million to $50 million in business-to-business and industrial companies in the U.S. and Canada with $3 million to $12 million of EBITDA, through buyouts, carve-outs or growth capital, and will take control or a significant minority stake. Owners below those sizes are most likely to meet Palladium as an add-on, for example to Superior Environmental Solutions, which keeps buying vacuum truck and industrial cleaning companies in the Midwest and Southeast.

Greymont’s take
How Palladium Equity Partners fits a seller
For founders of industrial cleaning, vacuum truck and similar environmental service businesses in the Midwest and Southeast, Palladium is an active buyer through Superior Environmental Solutions, which closed five add-ons between January 2025 and February 2026. Those sellers joined a platform with close to 1,000 employees rather than becoming a new one. A founder with $3 million to $12 million of EBITDA in a B2B or industrial niche can also approach the Heritage team directly about a control or significant minority deal.
Palladium says 74 percent of the investments in its Funds III to VI involved founder transitions, and that it encourages founders to stay and keep a stake. Owners should ask which strategy would hold their company, since Flagship and Heritage differ in size and team. They should also ask how a retained stake is treated when Palladium sells, as in the 2024 Del Real deal, where Palladium and the founding family both kept minority stakes.
Questions owners ask
What size company does Palladium Equity Partners buy?
It depends on the strategy. Flagship targets companies with $10 million to $75 million of EBITDA and invests $50 million to $150 million of equity. Heritage targets $3 million to $12 million of EBITDA and invests $10 million to $50 million.
Does Palladium buy environmental or industrial services companies?
Yes, through Superior Environmental Solutions, a Cincinnati-based platform it has owned since August 2023. Since then SES has added American Remediation & Environmental, Captain Clean, Hydroblasters, J&S Industrial Services and ChemWorx, which offer vacuum, hydroblasting, tank cleaning and chemical cleaning services.
Will Palladium take a minority stake?
Its Heritage strategy will take control or a significant minority position and also provides growth capital. The Flagship strategy is control oriented and invests common or preferred equity, sometimes with some mezzanine debt.
Does the founder stay on after Palladium invests?
Palladium says it lets founders cash out part of their stake while encouraging them to stay and share in later gains. In the March 2026 DME Express agreement, the founding CEO and his team were set to keep leading the business.
