What Full Guard Capital buys
Full Guard Capital is a small private investment firm in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, funded by a network of family offices and high-net-worth individuals. It looks for family, founder and management-owned companies in the continental United States with about $3 million to $20 million of revenue, $1 million to $6 million of EBITDA and EBITDA margins of 10% or better. Most of its deals are control buyouts, but it also does recapitalizations, growth financings and some junior capital or minority deals.
Its main specialty is companies that provide outsourced services to counties, cities and state agencies, such as correctional healthcare, towing and parking enforcement, library furnishing and wastewater services. It also looks at niche business services and engineered parts manufacturing. In July 2026 it backed Smith's Sanitary Septic Service in York County, Pennsylvania, and it says it is looking for add-ons for its current companies. Add-ons often fall below its platform size range, so a smaller company can still fit as a bolt-on.

Greymont’s take
How Full Guard Capital fits a seller
Full Guard suits owners of small, steady service businesses whose customers are mostly counties, cities or state agencies, and who want a buyer that already understands public contracts. The team is small and says it avoids committees, so owners usually deal directly with the partners. A sale typically means Full Guard takes control and then adds similar companies around the business. Its towing platform, Valor Fleet Services, grew by joining several local towing brands before Full Guard sold it to Tailwind Capital in January 2026.
The July 2026 Smith's deal shows how it approaches family companies: the Smith family chose Full Guard to carry on a business it had run since 1959. Owners should ask how long Full Guard expects to hold the company, whether it plans to sell to a larger private equity firm later, as it did with Valor, and how much of the price is paid in cash at closing.
Questions owners ask
What size company does Full Guard Capital look for?
It usually targets businesses with $3 million to $20 million of revenue, $1 million to $6 million of EBITDA and EBITDA margins of 10% or more. Add-ons for its current companies can fall below those ranges.
Does Full Guard Capital invest in septic or wastewater companies?
Yes. In July 2026 it partnered with Smith's Sanitary Septic Service, a septic pumping, hauling and wastewater company founded in 1959. Its managing partner called septic and wastewater services a highly fragmented industry with room to grow through acquisitions.
Has Full Guard Capital bought towing companies?
Yes. It built Valor Fleet Services, a Mid-Atlantic towing platform that brought together brands including Henry's Wrecker Service, Road Runner Wrecker Service and Al's Towing & Storage, and sold it to Tailwind Capital in January 2026.
Was Full Guard Capital known by another name?
Yes. It operated as Lancer Capital Management until November 29, 2022, when it rebranded as Full Guard Capital to avoid confusion with an unrelated firm that had a similar name. It said its strategy and team did not change.
