What Soundcore Capital Partners buys
Soundcore Capital Partners is a New York private equity firm, founded in 2015, that grows companies through acquisitions. It takes control of founder-owned and founder-led businesses in the US and Canada and then bolts smaller companies onto each one. It targets business and outsourced services, industrial services, specialty manufacturing and value-added distribution. Its current platforms cover commercial paving, overhead doors, tree care, snow and landscape management, residential roofing and propane distribution. By its own count it has completed 115 acquisitions worth about $1.8 billion in enterprise value.
It looks for companies with $2 million to $14 million of EBITDA, gross margins of 30% or more, EBITDA margins of at least 10% and strong cash conversion, in fragmented, recession-resistant industries with recurring or repeat revenue. It closes without financing contingencies. Fund III closed at its $450 million cap in February 2026. Owners of smaller firms most often meet Soundcore as add-ons: since early 2025 its platforms have announced more than a dozen add-on purchases.

Greymont’s take
How Soundcore Capital Partners fits a seller
Soundcore suits owners of service, distribution or specialty manufacturing companies with about $2 million to $14 million of EBITDA, especially in trades where many small local firms compete, such as paving, roofing, tree care, garage doors or propane. Most of its deals are add-ons, so a seller usually joins an existing platform with a professional management team. When Runyon & Sons Roofing joined TrussPoint in May 2026, it kept its local name and team. Soundcore says it closes without financing contingencies and finds deals by calling owners directly.
Soundcore builds each platform to sell it later, and it has exited eight, including InfraStripe in April 2025. An owner who keeps a stake should ask about the expected hold period, whether the local brand and staff will stay, and how any rollover equity or earnout is set up.
