What Rising Point Capital Management buys
Rising Point Capital Management is a Chicago private equity firm, founded in 2019, that buys field services companies owned by founders, families or managers. It started as an independent sponsor, raising money one deal at a time, and made 27 acquisitions, nine of them platforms, before closing its first institutional fund. That fund, Rising Point Capital Management Fund I, closed in September 2026 with $325 million, above its initial hard cap. The firm takes majority stakes in U.S.-based companies with at least $10 million of revenue and $2 million of EBITDA or cash flow.
Its target areas are industrial services, energy transition, environmental and waste, infrastructure, value-added distribution, rental, residential services and commercial services. Current companies include A-1 Roofing, a Midwest commercial roofer and the first Fund I platform; ABC Plumbing, Sewer, Heating, Cooling & Electric; Conco in industrial cleaning and testing; and JDS, PirTano and Cinterra in water, underground and electrical infrastructure. With roughly two add-ons for every platform so far, a smaller company is most likely to meet Rising Point as an add-on.

Greymont’s take
How Rising Point Capital Management fits a seller
Rising Point suits owners of field services businesses, such as commercial roofers, plumbing and HVAC companies, pipeline and underground contractors, or industrial cleaning firms, who want to sell a majority stake and keep growing through acquisitions. Its partners have long careers buying founder-owned companies, and the firm describes agreeing on a growth plan with management before closing and then pursuing add-ons together.
Fund I closed in September 2026 and has made one platform investment so far, so the firm has new capital and is likely to add platforms over the next few years. Its older companies were bought as an independent sponsor before the fund existed. An owner selling into one of those platforms should ask how it is financed and when it might be sold; A-Rent, held since 2019, was sold in September 2026.
Questions owners ask
