What One Rock Capital Partners buys
One Rock Capital Partners is a New York private equity firm, founded in 2010, with offices in Los Angeles, London and Dubai and more than $10 billion of capital commitments raised. It buys companies in four areas: chemicals and process industries, food and beverage manufacturing and distribution, specialty manufacturing, and business and environmental services. It looks for complexity other buyers avoid: corporate carve-outs with no standalone back office, industries seen as shrinking, missing audited financials, leadership gaps, regulatory questions or weak results. After buying, its operating partners and its strategic partner Mitsubishi Corporation work on margins, supply chains, management and add-on acquisitions.
In July 2025 it closed $3.97 billion across its fourth flagship fund and its first lower middle market fund, the Emerald Fund. It publishes no revenue or EBITDA range, and most flagship deals are large US and European carve-outs. The Emerald Fund is the likelier route for a founder: it bought a majority of American Furniture Rentals from its founder in January 2026 and backs LightSpeed Fleet Services, which is buying commercial truck collision shops.

Greymont’s take
How One Rock Capital Partners fits a seller
One Rock suits owners whose business has a complication that puts off other buyers, such as unaudited financials, a pending leadership change or a market others see as shrinking. It is a hands-on owner, so expect operating changes after closing. Founders can stay involved: at American Furniture Rentals the founder kept a stake and his board seat, and at Lewis Brothers Bakeries in 2024 the family president stayed in his role.
Owners of truck body, trailer repair or commercial collision shops may meet One Rock as an add-on to LightSpeed Fleet Services, which added four shops between December 2025 and June 2026. Owners should ask whether the deal would come from the Emerald Fund or the flagship fund, since that shapes size and expectations, and how long One Rock plans to hold. It sold EnviroServe to Clean Harbors less than four years after buying it.
Questions owners ask

Sometimes, though most of its flagship deals are corporate carve-outs. In January 2026 it bought a majority of American Furniture Rentals, founded in 1975, and the founder kept a stake and his board seat. In October 2024 it invested in Lewis Brothers Bakeries, a third-generation family business.
Is One Rock active in environmental and waste services?
Business and environmental services is one of its four core sectors. It bought EnviroServe from Savage in January 2023, added CG Environmental and Environmental Projects in 2024, and sold it to Clean Harbors for $470 million in October 2026.
What is the One Rock Emerald Fund?
It is One Rock's first fund aimed at the lower middle market, closed in July 2025 together with Fund IV for a combined $3.97 billion. It follows the same strategy as the flagship fund and holds American Furniture Rentals and LightSpeed Fleet Services.
