What Northrim Horizon buys
Northrim Horizon is a Mesa, Arizona investment firm that buys profitable, well-run service and software companies and plans to own them for good. It raises its money through limited partnership funds, most recently the $235 million Fund III closed in February 2025, but it does not plan to sell companies after a few years; it reinvests their earnings instead. Its holdings span commercial and residential services such as pest control, landscaping, commercial pools, overhead doors, apartment turnover and valet trash, along with healthcare services, niche software and a few consumer businesses.
The firm targets mature, cash-generating businesses with $1 million to $5 million of EBITDA. In its two most recent platform deals, ACG Systems and Cressy Door and Fireplace, it brought in a new CEO from McKinsey while keeping long-time leaders in place. Its homepage counts more than 75 completed transactions, and smaller companies often join an existing platform, such as Revolve Property Solutions, as add-ons.

Greymont’s take
How Northrim Horizon fits a seller
Northrim suits a founder who wants to sell most or all of the business but cares what happens to staff and customers afterward. It pitches itself against both private equity and strategic buyers, promising to hold for decades, protect culture and let the owner choose a role after closing, and it says it aims to make an offer within seven days of getting the requested financials. In practice, its recent platform deals added an outside CEO while keeping or promoting the managers who already ran the company.
Northrim does raise money from outside investors through its funds, so an owner should ask how its permanent hold works alongside those investors over time. It is also worth asking who will run the company day to day and how add-ons are folded in, since Revolve Property Solutions has merged several valet trash and apartment service firms under shared brands.
Questions owners ask
What size business does Northrim Horizon buy?
Its February 2025 fund announcement says it targets mature, cash-generating companies with EBITDA of $1 million to $5 million in business and consumer services, healthcare services, and software and tech-enabled services.
Does Northrim Horizon sell its companies after a few years?
It says it does not. The firm describes itself as permanent capital that intends to own its businesses indefinitely and reinvest their earnings, and it contrasts this with private equity firms that sell within three to five years.
Does Northrim Horizon own a valet trash or apartment services company?
Yes. Its Dallas-based platform Revolve Property Solutions handles apartment turns, valet trash, housekeeping and capital projects. It added A1 Valet Trash in February 2025 and DoorSide Valet Trash in January 2026.
How many deals has Northrim Horizon done?
Its homepage counts more than 75 completed transactions. In February 2025 it reported 47 investments since its start: 11 platforms and 36 add-on acquisitions.
