What Georgia Oak Partners buys
Georgia Oak Partners is an Atlanta firm that puts equity into founder- and family-owned companies in Georgia and the rest of the Southeast. It will buy a business outright or take a significant minority stake. Its fact sheet targets $3 million to $15 million of EBITDA, equity checks of $10 million to $50 million and enterprise values from about $20 million to over $100 million. Its three stated areas are manufacturing, consumer services, and business and industrial services.
The firm made its first investment in 2013 and now counts nine portfolio companies. Its newest platforms are T Management, a Georgia dental support organization, and Atlanta Gear Works, an industrial gearbox repair shop. Most recent activity is add-ons: Septic Blue has bought four Florida septic companies since September 2025, while Artisan Custom Closets and T Management keep adding local businesses. A smaller septic, dental or closet company in the Southeast is most likely to meet Georgia Oak as one of those add-ons.

Greymont’s take
How Georgia Oak Partners fits a seller
Georgia Oak suits Southeast owners who want a local buyer and may not want to hand over control. It does minority deals as well as full buyouts; its case study on Emerald Transportation Solutions describes two owners who wanted a partner but were not ready to give up majority ownership. Its team says it works on site with each company several times a month, so expect hands-on help.
The firm also publishes its record on deal conduct: it says it has never cut the price after signing a letter of intent, has closed more than 90% of the LOIs it signed and has paid every seller note in full. Owners of septic, dental or closet businesses are likely to be approached as add-ons, and recent releases show acquired companies keeping their local names and founders staying in their roles. Ask whether your business would be a new platform or an add-on, and how long Georgia Oak expects to own it.
Questions owners ask
Does Georgia Oak Partners buy septic companies?

Will Georgia Oak take a minority stake?
Yes. Its fact sheet says it can complete a full buyout or invest as a significant minority partner, and its Emerald Transportation Solutions case study describes a minority deal for owners who wanted to keep control.
What size companies does Georgia Oak look for?
Its fact sheet targets companies with $3 million to $15 million of EBITDA and enterprise values from about $20 million to more than $100 million, with equity investments of $10 million to $50 million.
Does Georgia Oak invest outside Georgia?
Its focus is Georgia and the broader Southeast. Recent add-ons were in Florida and North Carolina, and one older holding, Aditi Consulting, is based in Seattle.
