What Baymark Partners buys
Founded in 2007, Baymark Partners works out of an office in Plano, Texas, just north of Dallas. It buys controlling stakes in lower middle market companies in four broad areas: services (healthcare, business and IT), distribution, light manufacturing and batch production, and tech-enabled businesses such as e-commerce and SaaS. It counts 66 acquisitions to date. Its main IT holding is Eastern DataComm, a networking, communications and school safety integrator that took over the public sector and commercial unit of Carolina Advanced Digital in 2025.
For a new platform, Baymark looks for privately held US companies, or units being spun out of public companies, with $2 million to $10 million of EBITDA, steady cash flow, repeat customers and a market growing at least 10% a year. Add-ons can be as small as $300,000 of EBITDA, so a smaller owner is most likely to meet Baymark through one of its existing companies. Its investors, many of them accredited individuals, choose which deals they back.

Greymont’s take
How Baymark Partners fits a seller
Baymark suits owners of smaller companies in everyday industries who want a buyer that keeps them involved. Its recent deals point that way: the founder of Meal Prep Sunday stayed on to lead the business in 2026, and the founder of The Perfume Spot was still speaking for the company when it made an add-on in 2025. Owners of network, IT or security integrators, including those serving schools and local governments, should look at Eastern DataComm as a possible home.
Because Baymark's investors decide deal by deal whether to put money in, an owner should ask early how the equity for the purchase will be raised and how certain it is. It is also worth asking how long Baymark expects to hold the company. Its portfolio page mixes current and past holdings, and it sold J&G Concrete about a year after buying it.
Questions owners ask
Does Baymark Partners buy IT services companies?
Yes. Information technology is one of the service areas on its criteria page. Eastern DataComm, its main IT holding, added the public sector and commercial unit of Carolina Advanced Digital in 2025, and its portfolio page also lists IT Voice, Mercury Tech Partners and CIS.
How small a company will Baymark Partners buy?
New platforms should have $2 million to $10 million of EBITDA, but its criteria say add-on acquisitions for existing companies can go as low as about $300,000 of EBITDA.
Does the owner stay on after Baymark buys the company?
Often. When Baymark bought Meal Prep Sunday in August 2026, it said the founder would keep leading the business, and several owner quotes on its portfolio page describe founders still running their companies after the sale.
