What Atlantic Street Capital buys

Atlantic Street Capital is a New York private equity firm, with a second office in Greenwich, Connecticut, that backs lower middle market companies in healthcare, business services, and technology and IT services. For a new platform it wants $4 million to $25 million of EBITDA, operating margins of 10% or better and a headquarters in the US or Canada, and it commits $15 million to $75 million of equity. Typical deals are recapitalizations, management buyouts, family succession sales, corporate carve-outs and roll-ups. It avoids start-ups, turnarounds and distressed companies.

The firm calls its style operationally intensive. Its website reports more than $1.5 billion of assets under management, 18 operating advisors and over 200 add-ons integrated across its companies. Its two newest platforms, Dynamic Campus in 2025 and GLP in 2026, were made from Fund V. Most current portfolio companies list the kinds of add-ons they want, such as healthcare-focused managed IT providers for Anatomy IT, so a smaller business is most likely to meet Atlantic Street as an add-on.

Greymont’s take

How Atlantic Street Capital fits a seller

Atlantic Street suits founders of healthcare services, business services or IT services companies who want hands-on operating help along with capital, and who expect the company to keep buying smaller competitors after the sale. Its recent IT deals show the pattern: it backed the co-founders of Dynamic Campus in March 2025, then merged the company with CampusWorks less than a year later to build scale.

Holds can run long. GAT Airline Ground Support was bought from its founding family in 2017 and sold in February 2026, and Uniguest has been backed from two different funds. Owners should ask which operating advisor will work with their team and what that person expects to change, and how long the firm plans to own the business before it looks for the next buyer.

Questions owners ask

Does Atlantic Street Capital buy IT services companies and managed service providers?

Yes. In March 2025 it backed Dynamic Campus, an outsourced IT and managed services provider for colleges, and merged it with CampusWorks in February 2026. It also owns Anatomy IT, which is looking for healthcare-focused managed IT add-ons, and CGVantage in IT compliance and cybersecurity.

How big does a company need to be for Atlantic Street?

For a new platform the firm looks for $4 million to $25 million of EBITDA and operating margins of at least 10%, and it commits $15 million to $75 million of equity. Smaller companies usually fit as add-ons to a business it already owns.

Does Atlantic Street invest outside the United States?

Its criteria call for a headquarters in the US or Canada. In September 2026 it partnered with GLP, a specialty HVAC distributor based in Toronto, while nearly all of its other current companies are based in the US.

What kinds of deals will Atlantic Street not do?

The firm says it does not invest in early-stage companies, start-ups, distressed businesses or turnarounds. It focuses on recapitalizations, management buyouts, family succession, corporate carve-outs and consolidations of established companies.
