What Silver Oak Services Partners buys
Silver Oak Services Partners is an Evanston, Illinois firm that has invested only in service companies since 2005. It works in three groups. Business services covers areas such as facilities, IT, environmental and industrial work, testing and inspection, logistics and value-added distribution. Healthcare services covers practice management, home medical equipment and medical supply distribution. Consumer services covers automotive care, fitness, in-home care, residential services and franchise concepts. Current holdings include Beary Landscaping, CCS Facility Services, cloud hosting provider Summit, SmilePartners-USA and VASA Fitness.
For a new platform it wants $15 million to $150 million of revenue and $4 million to $25 million of EBITDA, and it invests $10 million to $50 million of equity, more with co-investors. Most deals are recapitalizations done alongside management, followed by add-ons, which carry no size minimum. It invests in the US and Canada. Its site still describes the $500 million Fund IV, closed in 2019, as its current fund, and its newest listed platform dates from late 2023, so a smaller owner today is most likely to meet Silver Oak as an add-on.

Greymont’s take
How Silver Oak Services Partners fits a seller
Silver Oak fits owners of service businesses who want an experienced partner: the firm counts more than 40 platforms and 250 add-ons, and its approach ties management to the outcome through meaningful equity. Nearly every current company is marked as looking for add-ons, and the recent record is mostly add-ons and sales. Beary Landscaping bought three Midwest landscapers in 2025, CCS added a cleaning company in Alabama in July 2026, and Silver Oak sold Keystone, Legacy Farms, Vecta and Drive Automotive in the first half of 2026.
The firm also uses continuation funds to keep winners longer, as it did with SmilePartners-USA in 2025. An owner selling to a Silver Oak company should ask when that platform was bought, since several date from 2016 to 2021 and may be close to a sale, and whether a new fund is coming, because the site still names Fund IV as current.
Questions owners ask
What size company does Silver Oak look for?
For a new platform, revenue of $15 million to $150 million and EBITDA of $4 million to $25 million, with $10 million to $50 million of Silver Oak equity per deal. It sets no minimum size for add-on acquisitions.
Does Silver Oak own IT services or landscaping companies?
Yes, both within its business services group. It has owned Summit, a cloud hosting and managed IT infrastructure provider, since 2021, and Beary Landscaping, a commercial landscaping and snow removal company that added three landscapers in 2025.
Has Silver Oak sold companies recently?
Yes. It sold Integrated Oncology Network to Cardinal Health for $1.115 billion in February 2025, then Keystone Partners and Legacy Farms in February 2026. Its portfolio page also shows Vecta Environmental Services sold in February 2026 and Drive Automotive Services in April 2026.
