What Satori Capital buys

Satori Capital is a Texas private equity firm, with offices in Dallas and Fort Worth, that invests from an evergreen fund, so it can hold companies with no set exit date. It takes majority stakes in US companies with $5 million to $35 million of EBITDA and minority stakes in companies with $10 million to $50 million. Its three focus areas are commercial and industrial services, manufacturing built on engineering or intellectual property, and established consumer brands. It looks for leadership teams that follow conscious capitalism, meaning they aim to create value for every stakeholder, not only owners.

Satori says it backs teams rather than running companies, and it helps them hire, make acquisitions and grow. Current holdings include Automatic Fire Protection, a Texas sprinkler and alarm contractor that bought two fire companies in October 2025, along with Torani, Komline, Second Mile Education and Zorch. A business below $5 million of EBITDA is most likely to meet Satori as an add-on to one of these companies.

Greymont’s take

How Satori Capital fits a seller

Satori suits the owner of a larger, profitable company who cares about culture and legacy as much as price. Because its fund is evergreen, no fund deadline forces a sale after a few years, and its minority option lets an owner take capital without giving up control. Its majority floor of $5 million of EBITDA is above many small businesses, so a smaller fire, alarm or service company in Texas is more likely to sell to a Satori company such as Automatic Fire Protection than to Satori itself. AFP describes its approach to add-ons as keeping a family business feel and local branches while offering the benefits of a larger company.

An owner should ask how long Satori expects to hold the business, which decisions the board keeps, and how the leadership team is rewarded.

Questions owners ask

What size company does Satori Capital invest in?

Satori makes majority investments in companies with $5 million to $35 million of EBITDA and minority investments in companies with $10 million to $50 million of EBITDA, all based in the United States.

Does Satori have to sell its companies after a few years?

No. Satori invests through an evergreen fund backed by business owners, family offices and foundations, which it says lets it hold investments indefinitely rather than on a fixed fund timeline.

Does Satori buy fire protection companies?

Yes, through Automatic Fire Protection, a Texas sprinkler, alarm and extinguisher contractor Satori invested in during May 2024. In October 2025 AFP acquired Houston-based Apex Fire Protection and West Texas Fire, a fire extinguisher and kitchen hood service business.
