What Lincolnshire Management buys
Lincolnshire Management is a New York private equity firm, founded in 1986, that has completed more than 110 acquisitions and manages over $1.9 billion. It invests in lower middle market companies, mostly owned by founders or families, through control acquisitions, recapitalizations, management buyouts, corporate carve-outs and growth equity. Its stated target is companies with $100 million to $750 million of annual revenue, and its experience centers on business and industrial services, niche manufacturing, and consumer goods and services.
The current portfolio shows that range: wire mesh manufacturing (Banker Wire), IT field services for retail chains (CrossCom), fire and life safety services (Remedi8), facility maintenance and remodeling (Powerhouse) and supplies for collision repair shops (US Auto Supply). An in-house operations team builds an improvement plan with management after closing. Because the revenue floor is high, a smaller owner is more likely to meet Lincolnshire as an add-on to one of these companies than as a new platform.

Greymont’s take
How Lincolnshire Management fits a seller
Lincolnshire fits owners of larger, established companies who are ready to hand over control and want a buyer with its own operations staff. Its revenue target starts at $100 million, so it is rarely the first buyer for a small business, but its portfolio companies have bought smaller firms: Barrier Companies, now Remedi8, added Fire Door Solutions and United Fire Door Inspection in July 2022, and Powerhouse bought Advanced Service Solutions in early 2022.
The firm's public deal flow has been quiet since then. The last new platform announced on its website was Banker Wire in March 2023, and its recent news is mostly exits, such as Latite Roofing in January 2025. Owners should ask whether Lincolnshire is investing from a new fund, how much capital it has set aside for add-ons, and how long it expects to hold the company their business would join.
Questions owners ask
What size company does Lincolnshire Management buy?
Its website targets companies with $100 million to $750 million of annual revenue. That is larger than most founder-owned businesses, so a smaller company is more likely to fit as an add-on to a business Lincolnshire already owns.
Does Lincolnshire buy family-owned businesses?
Yes. Its portfolio page says it focuses on founders and operators of family-owned companies, and its main deal types are control acquisitions, recapitalizations, management buyouts, corporate carve-outs and growth equity.
What has Lincolnshire sold recently?
It closed the sale of Latite Roofing, a Florida roofing contractor, in January 2025. In July 2026 its portfolio company Powerhouse Services sold its PHFM business to Vesterra Capital Partners.
