What Exeter Street Capital Partners buys

Exeter Street Capital Partners is the private equity arm of Patriot Capital, based in Baltimore. It describes itself as an independent sponsor: rather than drawing on one committed fund, it lines up debt and equity for each platform from partners such as mezzanine lenders and other institutional investors, aiming to put up to $100 million into a platform over time. It says it has raised and deployed more than $1 billion of debt and equity across 13 investments since 2014.

It targets profitable, growing companies with more than $10 million of revenue and $3 million to $5 million of EBITDA. Its sectors fall in two groups: industrial growth and technologies (advanced materials, aerospace and defense, contract and specialty manufacturing, packaging, testing and inspection) and business and consumer services (education, facility services, IT, residential and tech-enabled services). It makes control and structured equity investments, expects the founder or owner to reinvest a meaningful amount, and grows each platform through add-ons. Smaller companies can meet it as an add-on to Persona Services Group, Yebo Group or Price Circuits.

Greymont’s take

How Exeter Street Capital Partners fits a seller

Exeter suits an owner with $3 million to $5 million of EBITDA who is willing to roll a real share of the sale proceeds into the new company, since a meaningful owner reinvestment is one of its stated criteria. It has no fixed timeline for selling. Because it raises capital deal by deal, a closing usually brings in several funding partners: in the July 2026 Price Circuits deal, Capitala Group and Five Points Capital provided debt and equity, and the founding family stayed on as shareholders.

Facility service, signage and lighting companies are a natural add-on for Persona Services Group, which bought Sheer Service and EVO Door & Window in April 2026 and gave the sellers board and executive roles. Owners should ask which partners will fund the deal and how firm that money is, and how much debt the company will carry after closing.

Questions owners ask

How does Exeter Street fund its deals?

It works as an independent sponsor affiliated with Patriot Capital and raises capital for each platform. In the July 2026 Price Circuits deal, Capitala Group and Five Points Capital provided debt and equity, and Pinnacle Bank provided working capital financing.

What size company does Exeter Street look for?

Its criteria call for more than $10 million of revenue and $3 million to $5 million of EBITDA, along with steady profits, room to grow and a meaningful reinvestment by the founder or owner.

Does Exeter Street buy facility services companies?

Yes, through Persona Services Group, formerly Persona Triangle. It added Advanced Facility Solutions in January 2025 and Sheer Service and EVO Door & Window Service in April 2026 to grow its facility maintenance work.
