What Assured Healthcare Partners buys
Assured Healthcare Partners (AHP) is a New York private equity firm that invests only in healthcare, mostly in services businesses going through a change such as a founder exit, a merger, a new strategy or a financial reset. It has raised more than $1.3 billion across its institutional funds, including AHP Fund II, which closed in August 2022 with over $750 million of commitments. AHP usually puts $50 million to $150 million or more into each deal, using common equity or structured securities. It prefers majority control but will take a minority position with protections.
Its deals include recapitalizations, growth capital, buyouts, consolidations, combinations and carve-outs. Recent moves include forming Collabrios Health from software bought from AnewHealth, uniting its infusion pharmacies as Acelpa Health, and combining Promises Behavioral Health with Advanced Recovery Systems. AHP does not publish a revenue or EBITDA floor. Smaller practices usually join through one of its platforms, as Vascular Institute of the Rockies did with Heart & Vascular Partners in 2025.

Greymont’s take
How Assured Healthcare Partners fits a seller
AHP fits owners of healthcare services businesses, such as physician groups, behavioral health, infusion, post-acute care or healthcare technology services, that are at a turning point: a founder who wants liquidity, a business that needs a new strategy, or a balance sheet that needs fixing. The firm says it often backs companies whose earnings are not yet mature or stable, which can help an owner whose numbers would put off a generalist buyer.
Physician practices tend to meet AHP through a platform rather than as a stand-alone deal, as Vascular Institute of the Rockies did when it joined Heart & Vascular Partners. Because AHP uses structured securities as well as common equity, an owner should ask exactly what security the firm will hold and how it ranks against any equity the owner rolls over, and how long AHP expects to stay, since it describes its hold periods as patient.
Questions owners ask
Does AHP invest outside healthcare?
No. AHP describes itself as an investment firm focused on select parts of the healthcare industry, and every company on its portfolio page is a healthcare business, from anesthesia and cardiology groups to infusion pharmacies and elder care software.
How much does AHP invest in a company?
AHP says it invests roughly $50 million to $150 million or more in each opportunity, using equity or hybrid and structured instruments. It does not publish a minimum revenue or EBITDA.
Will AHP take a minority stake?
Its stated mandate is mainly majority control, but it says it has room to take a minority or non-control position when the deal includes appropriate protections for its investment.
How do physician groups partner with AHP?
Usually through one of its platforms. In August 2025, Denver's Vascular Institute of the Rockies partnered with AHP-backed Heart & Vascular Partners, which provides capital, operating support and management resources to the practices that join it.
