What Aldrich Capital Partners buys
Aldrich Capital Partners, based in McLean, Virginia, is a growth equity investor started in 2014 by former entrepreneurs. It reports more than $1.2 billion of assets under management. It backs founder-run technology companies in three areas: enterprise software, healthcare IT and clinical services, and fintech and tech-enabled business services. Its stated criteria call for at least $5 million of revenue, a proprietary product or software, and a growing business that has scaled without burning much capital. More than 70% of its investments have been a company's first institutional money.
Aldrich makes only a handful of investments a year and can take a majority or a minority position. Recent deals range from a $53 million majority investment in SpinSci in December 2024 to a $107 million recapitalization of Persivia in April 2025. Its companies also buy smaller businesses: in 2024 ProcessMaker acquired Workfellow and PRIA acquired Argenta Advisors, which gives smaller software and healthcare services owners a second way in.

Greymont’s take
How Aldrich Capital Partners fits a seller
Aldrich fits founders of software, healthcare IT or tech-enabled healthcare services companies with at least $5 million of revenue who have raised little outside money and want a hands-on partner. Its partners started as entrepreneurs, and the firm offers help with sales and marketing, recruiting, product and engineering, and acquisitions. A deal can be a majority sale, as with SpinSci, or a recapitalization, as with Persivia.
Aldrich has announced only two new investments since late 2024 and has posted no news since May 2025, so an owner should ask how much capital it has left to invest and whether a new fund is coming. It is also worth asking how long it usually holds a company; it owned Paymerang for about six years before agreeing to sell it to Corpay in 2024.
