What Oridian Capital Partners buys
Oridian Capital Partners is the name HCI Equity Partners adopted in April 2026. The Washington, D.C. firm says its team and strategy did not change, and it traces its roots to Hidden Creek Industries in 1989. It backs founder and family-owned companies in large, steady, fragmented North American markets and grows them mainly by buying smaller competitors. It sticks to three kinds of business: technician-based services, distribution and basic manufacturing. Current platforms include LawnPRO Partners in residential lawn, tree and pest care, The HCR Group in commercial re-roofing, Tech24 in commercial kitchen equipment repair, ACR and Driven Distribution in distribution, and two cabinet makers.
The firm calls itself lower middle market but publishes no revenue or EBITDA range. Its newest platform, AnchorPoint Foundations, launched in June 2026 with five foundation repair and waterproofing companies, funded by a special purpose vehicle that closed in November 2025. Most owners of smaller service or distribution businesses will meet Oridian as an add-on to one of these platforms, usually keeping their local brand name.

Greymont’s take
How Oridian Capital Partners fits a seller
Oridian fits the owner of a local service business, such as lawn and pest care, commercial roofing, foundation repair or equipment repair, or a regional distributor, who wants to join a larger group without losing the company name. Its platforms let acquired companies keep operating under their own brands, and local managers often stay in charge. In the March 2026 Tech24 deal, the seller's general manager and operations manager kept running daily operations, and RediBagUSA's owner stayed involved after joining ACR in July 2026.
Ask which platform would buy the business and how many deals it has done, because the people you work with day to day will be that platform's team, not the firm's partners. It is also worth asking how long Oridian expects to own the platform, since its recent exits, such as MSI Express in 2025, came after about six years.
Questions owners ask
Is Oridian Capital Partners the same firm as HCI Equity Partners?
Yes. HCI Equity Partners announced on April 1, 2026 that it had rebranded as Oridian Capital Partners. The firm says it is not a new firm and that its team and commitments are unchanged.
Does Oridian buy lawn care and pest control companies?
Yes, through LawnPRO Partners, its residential lawn, tree and pest control platform. LawnPRO announced several add-ons in 2025, including Total Lawn Care in Indianapolis in November 2025, which took it into a seventh state.
Does Oridian buy foundation repair and waterproofing companies?
Yes. It closed an oversubscribed special purpose vehicle for this industry in November 2025 and launched AnchorPoint Foundations in June 2026 with five companies. It says it plans to add more brands through targeted acquisitions.
