What Warren Equity Partners buys
Warren Equity Partners, based in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, buys companies that build, maintain and service infrastructure and buildings. It works across six end markets: transportation, power and utilities, buildings and facilities, digital infrastructure, water and wastewater, and waste. Within them it backs four kinds of business: industrial services, industrial products, business services and technology, and distribution. Current holdings include a Southeast solid waste hauler, utility tree crews, a commercial door repair group, a pavement preservation contractor and a water tank maintenance company.
New platforms are sized at $20 million to $500 million of enterprise value, done as buyouts, corporate carve-outs or recapitalizations, mainly in North America with a few recent UK deals. Warren is a buy-and-build investor and sets no minimum for add-ons, so a smaller company in one of its niches is most likely to join an existing platform such as Meridian Waste, Gunnison or Vortex. The firm reported $9.6 billion of assets under management at the end of August 2026.

Greymont’s take
How Warren Equity Partners fits a seller
Warren is a natural buyer for owners of field service or route-based businesses tied to utilities, cities, waste or building upkeep. Add-ons have no size floor and several platforms list ten or more acquisitions, so a smaller owner is usually looking at a sale to one of its portfolio companies rather than a stand-alone deal. Warren keeps a full-time operations group that helps with marketing, organization design and financial planning after closing, so expect a structured integration and reporting process.
Founder owners of Gunnison and Vortex are quoted on the firm's site as still running their companies after the sale, which suggests room for owners who want to stay. Two questions to ask: which platform would the business join and how much of its brand and team would be kept, and how long Warren expects to hold that platform before its next sale.
Questions owners ask
Does Warren Equity Partners buy waste or environmental services companies?
Yes. Waste is one of its six target sectors. Its active portfolio includes Meridian Waste, a Southeast solid waste hauler with transfer stations and landfills whose portfolio page lists 35 add-ons, and First Mile, a UK waste and recycling business it backed in December 2024.
How big does a company need to be for Warren?
New platforms are targeted at $20 million to $500 million of enterprise value. The firm states that there is no minimum size for add-ons to its existing companies, which is the most likely route for a smaller business.
Does the owner stay involved after Warren invests?
Often. The founders of Gunnison and Vortex are quoted on Warren's site as CEOs and owners after their deals, and the firm provides a full-time operations team to support management with marketing, organization design and financial planning.
