What Valeas Capital Partners buys
Valeas Capital Partners is a San Francisco private equity firm formed in October 2021 by Rob Little and Ed Woiteshek, who met at Hellman & Friedman. It reported about $2.7 billion of regulatory assets under management as of June 30, 2026, across its first two funds and co-investment vehicles, and its first fund closed at more than $600 million in December 2024. Valeas backs growing, tech-enabled businesses in three areas: financial services, healthcare, and data and technology. It favors recurring revenue, asset-light models and fragmented markets where a company can grow by acquisition.
Valeas does control buyouts, such as TicketManager in 2025 and Suntera Global, and also takes minority stakes, as with Sequoia Financial Group and Baker Tilly, where it invested alongside Hellman & Friedman. It does not publish revenue or EBITDA limits. Smaller wealth managers and accounting firms most often meet Valeas by selling to one of its platforms: Sequoia agreed to buy six wealth managers between October 2024 and September 2026.

Greymont’s take
How Valeas Capital Partners fits a seller
Valeas suits owners of wealth management, accounting, fund administration and business software firms who want a buyer with hands-on operating experience. Its founders have run companies as well as invested in them, and the firm says it prefers managers who own a real part of their business and tries to win deals through long relationships rather than on price alone. A sale can be a control buyout of a larger company or, more often for a smaller firm, an add-on sale to Sequoia Financial Group, Baker Tilly or Suntera Global.
Valeas is young, formed in 2021 with its first fund closed in 2024, so its exit record is short. An owner should ask how long Valeas plans to hold the platform, whether it has control or a minority stake there, and how decisions are shared with the other investors.
Questions owners ask
Does Valeas buy wealth management firms?
Yes, mostly through Sequoia Financial Group, an Ohio-based wealth manager in which Valeas has held a minority stake since 2022. Sequoia agreed to buy six wealth managers between October 2024 and September 2026, including BSW Wealth Partners in Colorado.
Does Valeas invest in accounting firms?
Yes. In 2024 Valeas invested in Baker Tilly alongside Hellman & Friedman, outside the firm's audit and attest business. Baker Tilly then agreed to combine with Moss Adams in 2025 and to buy the New York firm Anchin in June 2026.
Does Valeas only take control of companies?
No. It completed control buyouts of TicketManager in 2025 and Suntera Global, which closed in January 2026, and it holds minority stakes in Sequoia Financial Group, Baker Tilly and CINQCARE.
