What Percheron Capital buys
Percheron Capital is a San Francisco firm that invests only in essential services: the recurring, need-based work that keeps homes, buildings and vehicles running. It manages more than $8 billion and closed its third fund at a $3.1 billion hard cap in April 2026. Its current platforms cover tire and auto repair, car washes, residential and commercial HVAC and plumbing, roofing, pest control, foundation repair, emergency restoration, fire and life safety, commercial landscaping, multifamily property management and specialty veterinary care.
Percheron usually starts a platform by buying one strong operator, often with an outside CEO it has recruited, and then adds many smaller companies quickly; Lookout Pest Control alone made 17 acquisitions in 2024. The firm counts more than 200 investments including add-ons and runs an in-house AI engineering team that builds tools for frontline staff. Its public pages give no revenue or EBITDA limits. Most owners will meet Percheron as an add-on to one of its existing platforms.

Greymont’s take
How Percheron Capital fits a seller
Percheron suits owners of field service businesses in the trades it already covers, from tire shops and HVAC contractors to pest control, roofing and restoration companies. It is one of the most active add-on buyers in these markets, so a sale usually means joining an existing platform that has its own CEO, systems and integration team. Big Brand Tire & Service, for example, keeps buying regional chains, such as Burt Brothers in 2025 and Belle Tire in 2026.
Percheron's page for tire and auto sellers says Big Brand can value a business quickly with limited information and will work with owners on how their real estate is handled. The firm also likes to return cash to its investors early, as it did with the 2025 Big Brand recapitalization. Owners should ask what happens to their brand and staff after integration, and when and how any rolled equity can be sold.
Questions owners ask
Does Percheron Capital buy tire and auto service businesses?
Yes. Big Brand Tire & Service has been a Percheron platform since 2021 and keeps buying regional chains, including Robertson Tire and Tires To You in 2024, Burt Brothers in 2025 and an agreement to buy Belle Tire in July 2026. Percheron also owns Caliber Car Wash.
Does Percheron invest in property management or waste companies?
Its portfolio listing shows RangeWater Residential, a multifamily property management platform, acquired in January 2026. Its site also has pages inviting owners of multifamily property management and solid waste businesses to talk about partnerships, though no waste company appears in its portfolio.
How large is Percheron's latest fund?
Percheron Capital Fund III closed in April 2026 with about $3.1 billion of commitments at its hard cap, roughly double Fund II, which closed at $1.55 billion in March 2024.
