What Palm Peak Capital buys

Palm Peak Capital is a Boca Raton private equity firm started in 2024 by three former Sun Capital partners: Steven Liff, Daniel Florian and Jeremy Stone. It buys control of industrial and services companies across North America. On the industrial side its list covers industrial technology, building products, food and beverage, packaging, specialty distribution, chemicals and other niche manufacturing. On the services side it covers environmental work, industrial maintenance, residential and commercial services, staffing, and utility maintenance and construction.

The stated target is a company with at least $25 million of revenue, in a deal worth up to $250 million. Palm Peak works with founder- and family-owned businesses, corporate carve-outs and management buyouts, and sometimes buys from other private equity firms. It closed its first fund at a $374 million hard cap in February 2026 and owns three platforms so far. Add-ons have no size minimum, so a smaller business is most likely to meet Palm Peak as an add-on, the way Prospan Shoring joined Pacific Shoring in 2025.

Greymont’s take

How Palm Peak Capital fits a seller

Palm Peak suits owners of industrial manufacturers and of trade or infrastructure service companies with more than $25 million of revenue who want a hands-on partner. The firm has its own operations team and names specific work it does with new companies, such as purchasing, product expansion, labor-saving technology and a bigger sales force. In the August 2026 Redland deal, the buyer's financial advisor reported that the family owners kept a substantial stake and stayed in charge.

Because the firm is new, its record under the Palm Peak name is three platforms, though the founders did many similar deals at Sun Capital. An owner should ask who from the operations team would work with the company and how much of the business the family can keep. Smaller owners should ask whether one of the current platforms is looking for add-ons.

Questions owners ask

Who founded Palm Peak Capital?

Steven Liff, Daniel Florian and Jeremy Stone launched the firm in 2024 after long careers at Sun Capital Partners, where they worked on deals such as Calcium Products and Arrow Tru-Line. Sun Capital's co-founders said they would back the new firm as limited partners.

What size companies does Palm Peak buy?

It looks for North American companies with $25 million or more of revenue and transaction values up to $250 million. There is no minimum size for add-on acquisitions made by its existing platforms.

Has Palm Peak raised a fund?

Yes. In February 2026 it closed Palm Peak Capital Fund I at its hard cap with $374 million of commitments from endowments, family offices, pension funds, insurers and fund-of-funds. Pacific Shoring and Domaille Engineering were its first two platforms.

Does Palm Peak buy divisions of larger companies?

Yes. Corporate carve-outs are one of its target situations. Its October 2025 purchase of Domaille Engineering, a Rochester, Minnesota maker of fiber optic manufacturing equipment, was a carve-out from ADDMAN Engineering.
