What Lightview Capital buys

Lightview Capital is a West Palm Beach, Florida firm, founded in 2012, that backs founder-owned business services and tech-enabled services companies in the lower middle market. Its stated target is $2 million to $15 million of EBITDA, anywhere in the United States. It looks for recurring or repeat revenue, high customer retention and profitable businesses that do not need heavy capital spending. The areas where it has direct experience are IT services, compliance services, industrial services and marketing services.

Lightview grows each platform through acquisitions and treats M&A as a core part of the plan. Current platforms include Buchanan Technologies (managed IT), InStore Technology (technology services for grocers), FSS Technologies (fire, security and life safety systems), Vermana (commercial pools), Verista (life sciences compliance), and MarketFully and Mile Marker (marketing). In October 2026 it added Thorn Run Partners, a government relations firm. A company below the EBITDA floor is most likely to meet Lightview as an add-on to one of these platforms, as The Fire Group did with FSS in March 2026.

Greymont’s take

How Lightview Capital fits a seller

Lightview suits founders of service businesses with steady, repeat customers who want a partner that will help them grow through acquisitions, not only a buyer for the company. Managed IT providers fit squarely: Buchanan Technologies and InStore Technology are current platforms, and NexusTek, an earlier IT services platform, grew from about 30 to more than 100 employees before Lightview sold it to Abry Partners. Its newer platforms show it will also back trade-style service companies such as commercial pools and fire protection.

Founders often keep a role. At Vermana the founders stayed on next to a new CEO, and Lightview named both Thorn Run co-founders as its partners in that deal. Lightview says it sets no fixed hold period and aims to sell to a strategic buyer or a larger private equity firm. An owner should ask how much equity they would roll over and who the likely next buyer is.

Questions owners ask

What size companies does Lightview Capital invest in?

Lightview's own FAQ gives a target of $2 million to $15 million of EBITDA. Smaller companies have joined its platforms as add-ons, such as The Fire Group, which FSS Technologies bought in March 2026.

Does Lightview Capital buy IT services and managed service providers?

Yes. IT services is one of the areas it names. Current platforms include Buchanan Technologies, a managed IT provider for mid-market and enterprise clients, and InStore Technology, which supports point-of-sale, self-checkout and cybersecurity systems for grocers. It earlier built and sold NexusTek, a managed IT provider for small and mid-sized businesses.

Where does Lightview Capital invest?

Anywhere in the United States. Its FAQ says it has no geographic limits despite its Florida headquarters, and its recent deals include companies based in Seattle, Ann Arbor, Orlando and Washington, DC.

Was Lightview Capital previously called Red Oak Growth Partners?

Yes. The firm changed its name from Red Oak Growth Partners to Lightview Capital in September 2016, when it was based in Summit, New Jersey. It opened its Florida headquarters in 2021.
