What Continuim Equity Partners buys
Continuim Equity Partners is a Pittsburgh private equity firm, founded in 2021, that buys only manufacturing and industrial businesses. It targets family-owned and founder-owned companies with $10 million to $100 million or more of revenue, EBITDA margins above 10% and, per its August 2026 Fund III release, $5 million to more than $40 million of EBITDA. It does buyouts and majority recapitalizations of B2B companies with steady demand: engineered products, tight-tolerance parts, light assembly, value-added distribution, and industrial service and maintenance. It prefers Western Pennsylvania, the Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic, though recent deals reached Texas, Montana and Quebec.
The firm leads with Lean manufacturing through a playbook it calls EDGE: free up plant capacity, improve the sales effort to fill it, add people and systems, then buy add-ons. It has made eleven platform deals and nine add-ons since 2021 and closed Fund III at $548 million in August 2026, lifting AUM above $1 billion. Smaller shops can fit as add-ons, for example to its precision machining or powder metal platforms.

Greymont’s take
How Continuim Equity Partners fits a seller
Continuim suits founders and families who own a profitable industrial or manufacturing company and want a buyer that will invest in the shop floor. Its pitch is operational: Lean projects to raise capacity, then a sales push to fill it. Sellers often keep a piece of the business. The founders of Electro-Tech, MindCore and Lang all stayed on as shareholders, and Resodyn's founder kept a stake while moving from CEO to chief technology officer.
The firm also works with owners who are ready to retire. At Anker Industries it supported the former owner's move into retirement and brought in a new management team. An owner should ask what Lean changes Continuim would make in the first year, whether it plans to bring in a new CEO, and how long it expects to hold, since Anker was sold about two and a half years after Continuim bought it.
Questions owners ask
What size company does Continuim Equity Partners buy?
Its criteria call for $10 million to $100 million or more of revenue and EBITDA margins above 10%. Its August 2026 Fund III release puts the EBITDA target at $5 million to more than $40 million.
Does Continuim only buy manufacturers?
It invests only in manufacturing and industrial businesses, including engineered products, precision components, light assembly, value-added distribution, and industrial service and maintenance companies.
Where does Continuim invest?
Across the United States, with a stated preference for Western Pennsylvania, the Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic so its team can work closely with each company. Recent platforms are based in Texas, North Carolina, Montana and Quebec.
