What Braemont Capital buys

Braemont Capital is a Dallas investment firm, launched in 2021 with offices in Charlotte and New York, that backs founder-led and family-owned companies with steady, repeat revenue, healthy margins and strong cash flow. Its current focus areas fall into three groups: insurance and financial services, such as specialty insurance distribution and claims services; commercial and infrastructure services, such as facility services, digital infrastructure and route-based businesses; and tech-enabled business services, including professional services, education and training, data and managed IT services.

It writes equity checks of $25 million to $200 million, either all at once or in stages as a company grows, and will take control or a significant minority stake. Its first fund closed in April 2023 with $525 million of commitments. Recent investments include TEC Services, Royal Cup Coffee and Tea, Vero Networks, CEA CAPA and Thought Logic. With checks that size, a smaller company is most likely to meet Braemont as an add-on, the way Stewart Electric, Weifield Group and Revolution Industrial joined Loenbro.

Greymont’s take

How Braemont Capital fits a seller

Braemont fits the owner of a services business with loyal, repeat customers who wants a partner able to either buy control or take a large minority stake. Its releases stress founder and family partnerships. Royal Cup's leadership team kept running the company after the 2025 deal, and Thought Logic's founder and CEO is carrying out the growth plan with Braemont. Owners also get access to the firm's network of executives and family business owners.

Because the smallest check is $25 million, Braemont usually buys larger lower middle market companies, and smaller firms in fields like data center electrical work have joined it as add-ons. It is also willing to share ownership with another sponsor: when Kohlberg bought a majority of Loenbro in December 2025, Braemont kept a significant stake. An owner should ask whether Braemont wants control or a minority position, and how long it expects to hold.
