What Avesi Partners buys

Avesi Partners is a Stamford, Connecticut firm, with a second office in Richmond, Virginia, that invests in lower middle market companies in healthcare services, healthcare technology and business services. It targets platform companies with roughly $5 million to $30 million of EBITDA and backs established management teams, often alongside the founder. It raised an $875 million first fund in 2021 and a $1.35 billion Fund II in July 2024, and it now reports more than $2.2 billion under management.

Avesi chooses themes first and then looks for companies that fit them. Its healthcare themes include behavioral health, addiction treatment, pediatric therapy and services that lower costs for hospitals. On the business services side it looks at specialist outsourcing, insurance and risk services and technology enablement, such as its 2025 investment in UKG consultant Mosaic Consulting Group. Its companies then grow by buying others, so a smaller business is most likely to meet Avesi as an add-on to Point Quest, First Steps Recovery, Sands Point Risk or Danforth Advisors.

Greymont’s take

How Avesi Partners fits a seller

Avesi suits founders of growing healthcare or business services companies who want a partner to fund expansion and acquisitions while they keep leading. In its announced deals the founder or existing management usually stays: New Age Medical's founder remained CEO in 2026, and Mosaic took Avesi as its first outside institutional investor in 2025. Sellers of add-ons have often stayed too, such as the Georgia Recovery Campus team in 2025 and the owners of Eleutheria in 2024.

Avesi's releases describe investments and partnerships but rarely say whether it bought a majority. Owners should ask directly how much of the company Avesi would own, how much equity they would roll and how long Avesi expects to hold. Because the firm invests by theme, it also helps to ask which of its current themes your company fits.

Questions owners ask

What size companies does Avesi Partners invest in?

Its homepage and its September 2026 release put the target at roughly $5 million to $30 million of EBITDA for platform companies. Releases from 2021 and 2024 cited a $10 million floor, so the lower end has come down.

Which industries does Avesi Partners focus on?

Healthcare services, healthcare technology and business services. Current holdings include addiction and adolescent behavioral health treatment, pediatric therapy, hospital pharmacy consulting, outsourced sales development, insurance underwriting and UKG software consulting.

Do Avesi's portfolio companies make add-on acquisitions?

Yes, regularly. Point Quest bought Eleutheria in December 2024, Sands Point Risk bought BRM Specialty Markets in July 2025, and First Steps Recovery partnered with Georgia Recovery Campus in December 2025.
