What Superstep Capital buys
Superstep Capital is a private equity firm run by former digital services executives, including the founder of Hero Digital and a former CEO of T3, and it invests only in digital and IT services firms. It looks for founder-owned North American companies with $10 million to $40 million of revenue, healthy EBITDA and a clear specialty, and it makes equity investments of $10 million to $50 million. It prefers control buyouts but will also use recapitalizations and other structures. Its themes include data and AI, cloud and infrastructure engineering, product engineering, enterprise software implementation, commerce, marketing services and cybersecurity.
The firm owns only a few companies at a time. Its current holdings are Coredrive, CQL, OneSix, Tru Consulting, Zaelab and Zencore, and most are partners to one technology ecosystem such as Google Cloud, IFS, Shopify or ServiceNow. Smaller specialists can meet Superstep as add-ons: Zaelab merged with TMG in 2025, and Coredrive was formed in 2026 by combining two IFS consultancies.

Greymont’s take
How Superstep Capital fits a seller
Superstep suits founders of IT consulting, cloud, data or software implementation firms that have passed $10 million of revenue and want a buyer that knows how services businesses run. Its partners have built and sold digital agencies themselves, and the firm talks about utilization, sales, partner relationships and talent rather than only financial targets. It says it prefers control, but its criteria also allow recapitalizations, and the JumpModel and Gogh deal shows it will merge two founder-owned firms into one platform. Founders should ask how much equity they will keep in the combined company, and how a merger with another Superstep holding would change their role and their brand, as it did when JumpModel and Gogh became Coredrive.
