What RTC Partners buys

RTC Partners, which used to go by Round Table Capital Partners, is a Miami firm founded in 2017 that does only buy-and-build investing. It usually spends about a year studying an industry and recruiting an operating partner to serve as chief executive, then joins several similar-sized firms at once, an approach it calls Integrated Peers. Its target markets are professional and infrastructure services, business services and healthcare services across North America. It does not publish a size range, and it says it has launched six platforms and closed more than 90 transactions.

Its record is in engineering and consulting. It built Ardurra and Anser Advisory, both now sold, and Verdantas, an environmental consulting firm where it kept a minority stake after a 2024 sale. Its main current platform is Consertus, a capital program management and project controls firm with more than 800 professionals that has added at least seven firms since its October 2025 launch. Owners of project management, construction management, inspection or infrastructure consulting firms are the clearest fit, usually as an add-on.

Greymont’s take

How RTC Partners fits a seller

RTC suits owners of engineering, project management and consulting firms who want to join a larger group without losing their team. Its platforms are built from many owner-led firms, so a seller usually joins peers of similar size rather than being swallowed by one giant. RTC stresses employee ownership and says it works with partners to give key leaders equity, which matters in people businesses where the staff is the value.

A sale to RTC today most likely means joining Consertus, which in 2026 bought firms in California, Illinois, Florida and New York as well as in Lebanon and Chile. Owners should ask how much of the price is paid in cash versus rolled equity, what role they keep after integration, and when RTC expects to sell, since it sold control of Ardurra and Verdantas roughly four to five years after starting them.

Questions owners ask

What is RTC Partners' Integrated Peers model?

Instead of buying one large company and bolting on small ones, RTC combines several complementary firms of similar size and builds the platform around their merged leadership teams, processes and systems, with an operating partner serving as chief executive.

Is RTC Partners still buying companies?

Yes. Its Consertus platform announced the acquisitions of Airosmith, CCS International, Laceco, Program Controls, Metacontrol, S2 Engineering and Intueor Consulting between April and October 2026, and RTC says it is looking for new platforms and add-ons.

Does RTC Partners publish a deal size range?

No. It describes itself as a lower middle market investor and does not state revenue, EBITDA or check size limits. Its platforms grow large, and Consertus reported more than 800 professionals at its October 2025 launch.
