What InTandem Capital Partners buys
InTandem Capital Partners is a New York private equity firm that invests only in healthcare services. Its target list has four parts: services sold to health plans and employers, such as cost containment and benefit administration; providers and care delivery, including home care, infusion, behavioral health and women's health; technology-enabled services such as revenue cycle work; and services for drug developers, such as clinical trial sites. Several of its senior people ran healthcare companies before they became investors, and the firm works closely with management after closing.
Its stated starting point is a company with $5 million to $30 million of EBITDA, though it will look at larger deals and at smaller growth investments in fast-growing businesses. Its funds take control of North American companies, and Fund III closed at $715 million in June 2024. A smaller practice or agency is most likely to meet InTandem as an add-on to one of its platforms, such as HouseWorks in home care, Vivo Infusion, Sequel Ortho or beBright in pediatric dentistry.

Greymont’s take
How InTandem Capital Partners fits a seller
InTandem fits owners of healthcare services businesses who want a buyer that has run similar companies, not only financed them. Much of its recent activity is add-ons. HouseWorks has closed twelve deals since InTandem backed it in December 2022, including founder-owned home care agencies in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and in the March 2026 Rhode Island deal the local leadership stayed in place. Physician and dental groups usually join through a platform such as Sequel Ortho or beBright and keep leading clinical care.
Since 2022 the firm has run Private Equity for Greater Good, which aims to give every full-time employee of its portfolio companies a share of the equity gains. Owners who care about their staff should ask how that program works in practice, how much equity they would roll over, and how long InTandem expects to hold the platform.
Questions owners ask
What size company does InTandem look for?
Its stated starting point is $5 million to $30 million of EBITDA. It also considers larger companies, smaller growth investments in fast-growing businesses, and deals alongside other private equity sponsors.
Does InTandem buy home care agencies?
Yes, through HouseWorks, its personal care platform. HouseWorks bought O'Connell Care at Home and Best Home Care in Massachusetts in January 2025 and A Caring Experience in Rhode Island in March 2026, its twelfth deal since InTandem invested in December 2022.
Does InTandem invest in dental practices?
Yes. Its beBright platform combines pediatric dentistry and orthodontic practices. In April 2026 beBright added Pediatric Dentistry of Shreveport-Bossier, a six-location practice in northwest Louisiana and its largest affiliation to date.
Do employees share in the gains after an InTandem deal?
InTandem launched Private Equity for Greater Good in March 2022. The program is meant to give all full-time employees of its portfolio companies a share of the equity gains, rather than limiting equity to senior executives.
