What Grove Mountain Partners buys
Grove Mountain Partners is an Atlanta firm, founded in 2020, that invests only in home service and specialty business service companies, mostly in blue-collar trades. Its current platforms are Service Country (residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical in smaller Southeastern towns), Team First Home Services (residential plumbing) and Hills Distribution (plumbing and HVAC wholesale in the Northeast). Its criteria also list roofing, pest control, waste, remediation, commercial cleaning, niche logistics and commercial landscaping as target areas.
The criteria page asks for $5 million to $200 million of revenue and $3 million to $25 million of EBITDA. A new roll-up usually starts with a platform of $15 million to $25 million of revenue, and add-ons can be as small as $2 million of revenue. Grove Mountain takes control or structured equity positions through buyouts, recapitalizations, family succession deals and corporate carve-outs, usually as the first institutional investor. Most owners meet it as an add-on, keeping their brand and often rolling equity into the platform.

Greymont’s take
How Grove Mountain Partners fits a seller
Grove Mountain is a strong fit for owners of residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies, especially in smaller Southeastern towns, and for plumbing and HVAC distributors in the Northeast. Its platforms let each partner keep its brand and local leaders. In the July 2025 Service Country deals, both founders stayed on and kept a stake in the platform, and the owners of Coastal Supply and RJ Murray reinvested equity in Hills Distribution in January 2025.
The partners are former operating executives, and the about page says the firm is not tied to a fund with a fixed horizon. Even so, it sold Unique Indoor Comfort to Ace Hardware about two years after buying it, so an owner should ask how long Grove Mountain expects to hold the platform and how rolled equity will be valued when it sells.
Questions owners ask
What size companies does Grove Mountain Partners buy?
Its criteria call for $5 million to $200 million of revenue and $3 million to $25 million of EBITDA. A roll-up platform usually starts at $15 million to $25 million of revenue, and add-ons start at about $2 million of revenue.
Is Grove Mountain buying HVAC and plumbing companies?
Yes. Service Country added five HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies in September 2026, and Team First Home Services, launched in March 2026 around residential plumbing, added Holloway Plumbing in Texas in September 2026.
Do owners keep their brand after joining a Grove Mountain platform?
Yes. Service Country, Team First and Hills Distribution each say partner companies keep their names, local leaders and teams, and several recent sellers kept or reinvested equity in the platform they joined.
