What DuneGlass Capital buys

DuneGlass Capital is a healthcare independent sponsor, founded in 2018, that builds management services organizations owned and governed by the practice owners who join them. Most private equity roll-ups buy a majority of each practice. DuneGlass instead sets up a platform that practices merge into: owners skip the early payout, take a stake in the whole group, and plan to sell it together later to a buyer the members pick. Managing partner Dan Hosler previously co-led healthcare investing at Sterling Partners.

Its two named platforms are Allied OMS in oral and maxillofacial surgery, which supports surgeons at more than 50 locations, and Aviva Aesthetics in medical spas, launched in July 2024 with a Maryland med spa. The Aviva launch release says DuneGlass has also used the model in orthodontic and pediatric dentistry and in vascular and bariatric surgery. It does not publish size criteria. A practice meets DuneGlass by joining one of its platforms, and Aviva announced its 11th new partnership of 2026 in September.

Greymont’s take

How DuneGlass Capital fits a seller

DuneGlass suits a practice owner who is not ready to cash out but wants the buying power, back-office help and eventual exit value of a larger group. The trade-off is plain. You keep your brand and clinical control, and at Aviva you keep full ownership of your practice, but you give up the large upfront check a traditional private equity sale pays. Aviva says conventional platforms usually buy 50 to 70 percent of a practice's value at closing. With DuneGlass, the payoff comes later, when the group is sold.

Owners should ask how and when the platform expects to sell, how their share of the group is worked out, what the management company charges, and how outside investors, such as 65 Equity Partners at Allied OMS since 2025, share in the eventual proceeds.

Questions owners ask

Does DuneGlass Capital buy my practice?

Not in the usual sense. Its Aviva platform says joining is not a sale: owners merge into the platform, keep their brand and clinical control, and become shareholders in the group instead of taking an early payout. Several 2026 Aviva partners say they kept full ownership of their practices.

Which specialties does DuneGlass work in?

Its named platforms are Allied OMS in oral and maxillofacial surgery and Aviva Aesthetics in medical spas. The 2024 Aviva launch release says DuneGlass has also used the same ownership model in orthodontic and pediatric dentistry and in vascular and bariatric surgery.

How active are DuneGlass's platforms?

Very. Aviva Aesthetics announced its 11th new med spa partnership of 2026 in September, and Allied OMS added practices in California, Texas, Indiana and New Jersey during 2025, the same year it took a minority investment from 65 Equity Partners.
