What Arcline Investment Management buys
Arcline Investment Management is a private equity firm founded in 2018, with offices in Nashville, San Francisco and New York and more than $30 billion of assets under management as of August 2026. It buys niche industrial businesses that make mission-critical products, mostly for aerospace and defense, natural gas and power infrastructure, test and measurement, semiconductor equipment and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Arcline calls its targets industrial compounders: companies with high switching costs, regulatory or qualification barriers, long product lives and repeat aftermarket sales that can keep growing earnings for decades.
It takes control and builds each platform through acquisitions, counting more than 160 of them since 2018. Its latest announced fund, Fund III, closed at $4.5 billion in 2023, and its recent platforms are large: Novaria Group at about $2.2 billion of enterprise value and Continental Aerospace Technologies for about $535 million. Arcline publishes no size minimum. A smaller manufacturer is most likely to meet Arcline as an add-on, the way Arxis bought founder-owned MagCanica in 2026.

Greymont’s take
How Arcline Investment Management fits a seller
Arcline fits owners of specialized manufacturers whose engineered, hard-to-replace products go into aircraft, defense systems, energy infrastructure or other regulated markets, especially businesses with a large installed base and steady aftermarket sales. Its new platforms are big, often corporate carve-outs or public company take-privates, so most smaller owners would sell into an existing Arcline company rather than become a new one. That path is active: DwyerOmega, Arxis and Novaria have all made add-on deals in the last two years, and MagCanica was bought from its founders and employees.
Arcline also sells regularly, with four exits since December 2025, including the Arxis IPO. An owner who keeps a stake should ask how long Arcline expects to hold the platform and whether the likely next step is a sale to a strategic buyer or a public listing.
