What Seekye Capital buys

Seekye Capital is a small private equity firm set up in 2025 by co-founders JT Carradice and Matthew Lowers to buy established service and trade businesses around Washington, D.C. It invests in D.C., Maryland and Virginia, with Northern Virginia called out in its fund announcement. That May 2025 announcement set a $50 million target for its first fund and named accounting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and wastewater companies among the industries it wants to own. The firm takes its name from Matthew 6:33 and describes its approach as Christ-centered.

Seekye wants profitable, cash-generating companies whose owners are ready to sell a controlling stake, and it grows them by adding related businesses. It does not publish revenue or EBITDA minimums. It runs its companies on the Entrepreneurial Operating System and ties pay to performance. Its first deal, in August 2025, bought three related septic, wastewater and water testing businesses in Virginia. In January 2026 it took a majority stake in DuvallWheeler, a CPA firm founded in 1986.

Greymont’s take

How Seekye Capital fits a seller

Seekye suits owners of smaller, profitable service companies in the D.C. region who want a local buyer and care most about keeping their team, customers and culture intact. It is a new firm with two platforms so far, and both were long-established, owner-run businesses. In the wastewater deal, one of the founders moved into a role leading SES Mid Atlantic's growth, and Seekye said DuvallWheeler would keep its client service model and day-to-day operations.

Owners of septic, wastewater or small accounting firms in the region may also fit as add-ons to the existing companies. Because the fund is young and its announced target is $50 million, an owner should ask whether the fund has finished raising money, how much of the price is paid in cash at closing, and how Seekye plans to pay for future add-ons.
